Family Law

On February 27th 2010 Global  announced that principal photography and casting for a new legal drama, Family Law, would be beginning March 2 in Vancouver, Family Law would be produced by Seven24 Films  and Lark Productions,  created by Canadian award-winning author Susin Nielsen, with Jordan Canning directing the pilot episodeThe series would premiere on Global later in 2020.

Everything Goes

This 90-minute daily weekday series was part of Global's early program schedule in 1974, co-hosted by Catherine McKinnon (who guested in an early show and was immediately asked to become a co-host), Norm Crosby and Mike Darow, and featuring an orchestra directed by Moe Koffman. John Aylesworth and Frank Peppiatt were the producers (dividing their time between Toronto and Los Angeles, where they were producing The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn Machine and the Sonny and Cher Show, and Nashville, where they were producing Hee Haw).

Ransom

The one-hour Ransom series, starring  Luke Roberts, Nazneen Contractor, Brandon Jay McLaren and Sarah Greene, premiered on Global on January 1st 2017 and the first season ran for thirteen episodes, concluding on April 13th 2017.  It was inspired by the exploits of top crisis negotiator Laurent Combalbert, whose talents put him in demand “helping multinational corporations and government agencies with complex negotiations and conflict resolution”.

Big Brother Canada

Big Brother Canada first played on the Slice specialty channel in 2013 and 2014, before moving over to the Global Network in 2015. Based on a Dutch TV series, a U.S. version of Big Brother had been playing in the U.S.

Big Brother Canada

The reality game show Big Brother Canada debuted on the Slice specialty channel in 2013, and moved to the Global Network in 2015. It was based on a Dutch TV series, and a U.S. version had been airing on both CBS and Global since 2000.   The contestants competed for a $100,000 grand prize, while living in isolation from the rest of the world in a specially-built house, with the winners determined by participation in weekly games and other contests.
